IR SE/ME SP Course
Privileges
Instrument Rating holders can operate IFR flight, including PBN procedures, with a Decision Altitude of 200 feet (60 metres) or higher with aircrafts they have been rated for.
Training program
The training program is divided in three parts (basic, procedural and theorical):
- Theorical course: 150 hours (with possibility of distance learning)
- Basic IR course: 10 flight hours Dual Command
- Procedural IR course: 40 flight hours Dual Command (45 hours in case of MEP)
Requirements
A pilot who applies to get an Instrument Rating shall:
- Hold PPL(A)
- Hold a Night Rating, unless they want to fly IFR only with daylight or being an ATPL or CPL holder
- Have a flight time of 50 hours as PIC
- Hold a TEA certificate with a minimum mark of ICAO LEVEL 4
- Hold 1st medical class certificate or a 2nd class IR CHECKED
Credits
IR(H) holders can have up to 10 flight hours deducted from their training program.
